Many months ago, when bulk ordering was stil just a dream, Brad Justus
contacted us and in his words "made a light at the end of the tunnel".  To me
that light is still far away. My image of the lego company has actually gone
down since you first made contact with lugnet. The main disapointment is is
communication, which you said you would provide. To me, 4 messages, though
long and descriptive, over 6 months, Is NOT good communication.

I would second this.  Normally I don't just post "me too" posts, but I think
that in this case, the more people Brad (and Lego Direct) hear from that feel
this way, the better he'll (they'll) understand it.

Secondly, you
have taken no action in the lego theme galery incident that odccured just
recently.

Also disappointing, although perhaps not Lego Direct's fault.

And lastly, your product line as a whole in my eyes is degrading. Instead
of going after the new 2000 sets, I'll put my money in an old M-tron or castle
set that sells on ebay.

Indeed.  I think the best thing you could do for Lego is to take a look at all
the old sets selling for, in some cases, many times their original price on
eBay.  If Lego made these sets again- which would incur very little overhead in
a lot of cases- they could be making some of that profit.  How much money
changes hands over Lego products on the internet every day that Lego sees no
share of?  Yes, Lego got a cut when Toys R Us bought that old Pirate ship from
Lego.  But when someone sells it to me, Lego gets nothing.  If I could buy it
from Lego for less, I would.

While all these things should be considered, there is some great stuff
about the TLC that I would like to see continued.

Indeed.  I have a lot of respect for TLC as a company, and there certainly are
some things- like Bulk Ordering and the minifig packs- that I am quite excited
about.  But certainly there's room for improvement, especially in areas Lego
has promised improvement in, like comunication.  For example, as someone posted
earlier today, why haven't we heard from Lego about the "2001 Set Information"
incident yet?  Apparently it was communicated to Todd that some kind of
information would be released, but you're moving at a glacial pace in the world
of the internet- especially for a company that was so swift to react in getting
the information expunged.  Not following up with a promised explaination with
the same kind of timeliness does indeed smack of a lack of respect for fans.
