After some investigating and the opportunity to build two MIB Lego sets from 1986, I have concluded that this was the year that Lego elements began to appear with their official part number. I guess I should have noted that my package may have been an aberration. My pack, and thus my inventory, had 9 of the small wheel centers, even though the service pack description in the LUGNET guide lists 8. I'm not sure if LEGO made a mistake and (...) (25 years ago, 1-Jun-01, to lugnet.db.inv)

(...) Hi Samuel, Almost all the Castle and Pirate inv's are reformats of Margo Kubiak's inventories from several years ago. A couple of these are probably errors on my part but most look like "extra" pieces that she didn't include. Don't worry about (...) (25 years ago, 1-Jun-01, to lugnet.db.inv)
