You can do this. When in the Add dialog, select the text field of the
Color combo box. This will select all the text in the box. Now press
the Delete key to erase the text. This sequence will allow you to save
a blank Color field value.

Similarly, just type "Gold" into the text field of the Color combo box
in the Add dialog.

You can edit the quantity of the selected element in the right hand
panel next to the inventory list.

That's actually a feature. You can use this to easily make a combined
inventory list for several sets (that's why the program auto-merges
multiple entries of identical parts). But, perhaps not the most well
documented feature, eh?
By the way, there's a newer version (0.0.7) up on Bob's site
(http://klickitat.fial.com/bob/download). It's got a couple of minor
fixes.

| This is certainly an area where a tool is desperately needed. At first pass it seemed to work fairly well. It's certainly a big step up from pencil and paper and more useful than a speadsheet template. Thanks for throwing this out here. Before I get (...) (23 years ago, 8-Feb-02, to lugnet.db.inv)
