Hi, fellow pneumatics fans Ever since the RCX Controlled Air Compressor Tester was posted, there have been many suggestions for it's improvement, in particular to linearize the tracing. I have a Halogen uplight lighting a room and my solar cell will power a motor, with no load up to a distance of around '6 (3' work height) from the light pole. Ok, I gotta jump in here for a minute, I have 6 Solar cells and 4 Capacitors, I am building them into the Wings of my Robot. (URL) Heres what I know about the Solar Cell and Capacitor. The solar radiation angle is still fairly low at this time of year with much of the energy being scattered by the atmosphere as well as being spread over a larger surface area of the earth. I (...) The solar cell barely has the juice to drive the 5225 motor, and that's both under direct sunlight and under a 2 million candlepower spotlight at 6 inches. (...) Regarding the solar powered walker and the mars rover, both are cool looking robots! I find that solar panel particularly interesting. Perhaps put a solar panel on each side, with each panel connected to one side of the robot... So when there is (...) (24 years ago, 20-Mar-01, to lugnet.robotics, lugnet.technic, lugnet.dacta)

I built a simple solar-powered hexapod last weekend with some new parts I ordered from Pitsco. The walker is quite slow, using the LEGO solar cell to power a 5225 9V motor, which drives a worm gear coupled directly to a 24T gear. I've found the LEGO (...) (24 years ago, 20-Mar-01, to lugnet.robotics, lugnet.technic, lugnet.dacta) !

Hey Tony, not to criticize you, but that fact has been already mentioned, and the fact that the instructions this way make it next to impossible to copy.
