No, I don't call you a marketdroid. I really don't think you are.

It is all a question of trust. See, trust into a piece of information or
an aspect of an entity is usually valued as a kind of multiplication
product of the individual trust value of every instance that handled
this information or aspect of the entity. With me so far?

Everyone starts of with a clean 1.0 at a point, and - by his or her
actions - moves up or down. An information stated by someone deemed
trustworthy therefor enhances the trust placed into the information, and
vice versa. Still with me?

Once, even the Lego company started of for me with a clean 1.0. Certain
events, not only related to the c-word, managed to burn this score down
to something more epsilon-like. Thus, even with your score (in my eyes
at least) rising significantly in Berlin, you, as a spokeperson for the
company will have a hard time to gain respect for what you do for a
living. Especially as one can see time and again how you are restricted
from telling us things that might be important for us. And I'm very
sorry about that, because I think you deserve better.

So when you tell us, for example, that no more changes to the system are
to be expected, I trust *you* to speak at the best of your knowledge.
But I don't trust the company behind you, and I would not at all be
surprised if they would plan the next big stupidity expressively without
involving you, just to prevent you from harrasing them.

And finally:

If the primary intention of the comic was just to recruit new AFOLs,
then this decision to remove the c-issue is to be called (at least
technically) correct. I, though, was of the opinion that this comic
should inform about AFOLs. Therefor my point of information vs. propaganda.

Nuff said. Nice weekend!

Yours, Christian

PS: As I didn't mention the word g... (uff, escaped the temptation), I
think I'm offtopic again in .color [SIC]

(...) Christian, please don't forget the intended purpose of the final version - to help encourage new fans to come into the hobby. It was my call and my call alone to NOT include the color change strips. I felt it was more "inside information" than (...) (20 years ago, 14-Jul-04, to lugnet.color) !
