They look more pure than the old grays.

How they look on the Internet depends on the color calibration of your
monitor, on the white balance of the camera that took the photo, on the
color space used during any digital manipulation, and other factors. If
one wanted to, one could easily make them look prettier or uglier than
they actually are.

However, I think Jake is doing a great job trying to communicate between
AFOLs and internal Lego employees.
