I'm going to start a project in the next couple weeks.  An ambitious
project, that will span generations! (well, minifig generations, anyway)

I want to make a big castle, but I don't want to do anything boring and
ordinary like planning it, or just building it, or anything like that.

I want to evolve it.  :)

The best way to evolve a structure is to let several people have creative
control at different times. I will start with a simple, small keep, newly
built by Sir Davin (a minifig you haven't yet met).  The next person to work
on the project will take the keep (virtually - I don't want to start
shipping a castle around!), and the next generation of Sir Davin's line, and
do what needs doing.  Maybe the family got larger, and a wing needs adding.
Maybe Davin's great-grandson is more religious that most, and adds a chapal.
It could be that several generations down, the family is idly rich, and
decides to go for this new "gothic" craze, and adds flying buttresses.

This strikes me as the perfect sort of project for castle world.

So... who's interested?

e-mail me.

Well, I hate to see a great idea met with (almost complete) silence. So I just want to add my bit in here... I think this is a great idea! I'm kind of new to using the various CAD software, but I'd love to take a try at this. :-) Hmmm. Reading the (...) (24 years ago, 2-Nov-00, to lugnet.castle.org.cw)
