Most of the solutions already posted are probably the best professional ways
to store separate stuff but my method is all econo style.

Yogurt Containers!

Yogurt containers, comes in three different sizes (at least in canada) and
nice and smooth on the inside.  And I can't say that I've had any problems
with them scratching stuff as of yet.

Greetings. Perhaps my most vexing storage issue these days is how to store my shields without having them get scratched. Lately, I've just had minifigs holding them, but that takes up baseplates that I'd rather use for other purposes. Does anyone (...)
