(...) Well, I'd be inclined to call it 'pauldrons'. Technically a pauldron only covers the shoulder, but it's the closest thing that comes to mind. It doesn't really have a "real" equivalent. Pauldron (or pawldron, or poldron) is an authentic term, (...) (24 years ago, 13-Feb-01, to lugnet.castle)
