I just got off the phone with Lego Shop At Home and I have interesting news
to relate. Apparently, Castle Accessories 5383 (Fright Knights) has been
canceled. When I asked if that meant discontinued, the operated said yes.
Now it occured to me that TLC usually has at least one castle accessory pack
available at any given time, and if they have canceled the Fright Knights
does that mean we will be seeing a NEW Knights Kingdom accessory pack??? Of
course, they could have run out of supply because of the recent re-addition
to the mail order catalog and the corresponding demand this created.
We have not seen or heard of any solid information on this year's Knights
Kingdom sets. If I was TLC then I would wait until Life on Mars and Alpha
Team systems have lost their novelty and then hit the market with the 2001
Castle sets. Under this time frame, new Castle would be here by April/May
at the soonest, but more likely they will bring it out right before Summer
when school ends and bored kids will be rushing to the toy store for the
latest Lego products.
Richard -- Oh, bye the way...I noticed that the Alpha Team Ogel Command
Striker (6771) is available for $3.99 at Shop.Lego.com and it happens to
have the rare body armor from the U.F.O. series which I have seen used by
other Castle lovers.

| When did you hear this? Was this today? I placed an order for accessory sets on friday and they supposedly shipped them. I'm still waiting for it to arrive (today or tomorrow, most likely). The catalog came out so recently too, it seems surprising (...) (24 years ago, 24-Jan-01, to lugnet.castle)
