You're right, year 0 exists before you start counting, but it's called year
1 BL (or 1 BC in the real-world time system).

I agree -- if we want to mimic the "real world", we should start with • Year
1.  (when you count apples, do you start with number 0?)

but _before_ you begin to count, there _are_ 0! actually, if ballads can
be set anywhen, shouldn't our timeline have a 0 pivital date in the • middle?
(jeff j's idea, not mine, but i really like it) a timeline bookended with
the "indefinite past" and the indefinite future". our stories can keep • going
in either direction without ever leaving the castle genre time-period. the
forward advances would have to be scheduled with our real time. something
like 5 CW years = 1 real world year or such. the past could stretch back
hundreds or thousands of years as balladeers write it.

instead of A.L., though, what about A.B.S.?  not only is it what lego
bricks are made from, it could stand for "After Balladeers Started"! tales
from the past could creatively be translated from ancient texts or written
down from oral tradition.(the original balladeers!)

uh... before year 0 though, i'm drawing a blank. B.B.S?

  later ~ craig~

Castle World has a new location.  I think it's more user friendly, • but
comments are always welcome.

Neat! Great work.
+ You've got a nice blend of colours
+ You don't change font every other word
+ You have a consistency through the whole site and that's great.

I've got a few comments and I'll try to be constructive.
* You oughta alter the year to "1 A.L" since you start counting from • one,
i.e. "The first
year after Legodomine", "Year number one", "Year one A.L.". Just the • same
as
your
first year in life is the year when you're 0 years old, still it's year
number one.

* The small white artifacts (dots) on the index images ("Structures",
"Creatures" etc)
could be avoided if you put the brown colour from the background image • as
background
colour in PhotoShop and then select that colour as the transparent • colour
index in the gif
file when you save it.

* Personally I don't like text wider than 600px (70-80 characters per • line)
as you have
in the About page. I would suggest you put the text in a table • 450-600px
wide.

Keep it up, I'll be over with a few pictures soon

// Eric
