Re: Centaurs, Satires, Minotaur and the like...

(...) This is easily solved using a 1x2 brick with side holes (the kind which is used to hold "digger-bucket" arms. (See "Alien Pet" in lugnet.cad.dat.ideas) --Bram Bram Lambrecht / o o \ BramL@juno.com ---...---oooo-----(_...o---...--- WWW: (URL) (25 years ago, 11-Feb-00, to lugnet.castle)

Re: Centaurs, Satires, Minotaur and the like...

(...) For a minotaur, I'd use a 1x2 medium slope on the minifig body, with a clip up top holding the horns. You might even go to a 1x3 slope for the head. J (25 years ago, 11-Feb-00, to lugnet.castle)

Re: Centaurs, Satyrs, Minotaur and the like...

(...) Oh!! Now I get it... I saw this pic a long time ago but didn't realize it was the mythical satyr... I thought she was referring to a satire on Peter Pan... D'oh! My spelling wasn't (and still isn't) the best ;-) Note the change in the subject (...) (25 years ago, 11-Feb-00, to lugnet.castle)

Re: Centaurs, Satires, Minotaur and the like...

(...) I too have made a centaur based on the classic castle horse (with some design modifications to the horses body). Pawel has asked me to send him a photo so I need to take some pictures this weekend to send to him. I look forward to seeing yours (...) (25 years ago, 11-Feb-00, to lugnet.castle)

(...) Hear, hear! (...) Yes, Please! ;) (...) That it will, as the history is just that - history. It is just there to give people the backstory of my realm. I'd have to completely rebuild my castle, create all the major historical figures, and (...) (25 years ago, 11-Feb-00, to lugnet.castle)

[CW] Four new pictures added ...

Ok ... if you want to see a centaur and Craig Hamilton's two castles, check out the update to Castle-World. Not much in terms of amount of pictures, but plenty in every other department: (URL) pn (25 years ago, 11-Feb-00, to lugnet.castle)

(...) of (...) Thanks for clearing that up, Shiri. I was wondering what series you all were talking about! FTR, I never liked the Narnia series... Jeff "You can't be a hero hiding underneath your bed" (URL) (25 years ago, 11-Feb-00, to lugnet.castle)

  Wandering Adventurer

Hello My name is Erik, I come from lands south of the line. As the youngest son of a minor prince in a tiny island kingdom I seek adventure in the kingdoms hereabouts. I have my own arms and am well trained. I seek quests and challanges worthy of my (...) (25 years ago, 11-Feb-00, to lugnet.castle)

(...) It's OK. I'll forgive you if you have good taste in other literature. (...) How bizarre. If this is from the song I'm thinking of, it's the one that's in the CD player in my LEGO room right now. Tenchi Muyo 2nd series? Or just a bizarre (...) (25 years ago, 11-Feb-00, to lugnet.castle)

Re: [CW] Pawel and Craig - please clear up this confusion!

(...) I like the Lord of the Rings and Wheel of Time... :) I *did* try reading Narnia when I was real young, so that may've had something to do with it. I haven't tried recently (...) Yup, its from "Pioneer". Great Song! I actually don't have the (...) (25 years ago, 11-Feb-00, to lugnet.castle)

  Re: Map Scale, Realms, etc.

Massive snippage They may have a reason. The best one I can think of is "Play Balance". They have obviously announced that armed conflict is a possibility in CW. This will make it a whole lot easier for the Big Guys to pick on smaller folk, IF they (...) (25 years ago, 11-Feb-00, to lugnet.castle)

(...) Well, I'd say that, up til now, that's probably the best entrance application yet! Very imaginative, kudos; and Eric looks like an awfully serious little bugger - looks very mischievous. Hey Pawel, this looks like the perfect applicant for (...) (25 years ago, 11-Feb-00, to lugnet.castle)

Re: Centaurs, Satyrs, Minotaur and the like...

At the inaugural DixieLUG meeting, I had a Satyr, using Suzanne's basic design, but with a JarJar torso with yellow arms, and a Fright Knight soldier's head (the same one that Pawel uses for Verneer, IIRC), a 1x1 tile w/ clip, and a cattlehorn. I (...) (25 years ago, 11-Feb-00, to lugnet.castle)

  Re: Map Scale, Realms, etc.

Tolkien (was Re: [CW] Pawel and Craig - please clear up this confusion!)

(...) The correct answer is both vague AND huge. ;) I've done some research into making Minas Tirith, and come to the conclusion it will involve a lot of artisitic license. JJR has a grand total of about 150 words of descriptive text for it..<sigh> (...) (25 years ago, 11-Feb-00, to lugnet.castle)
