I have to say I have a really hard time seeing how the undead differ in any
way from Legos family policy. It seems you are equating the family policy
of a small minority of religious groups with general family policy.

Sorry, thought that the my other complaints are disclaimer made it clear
that these were my views...
I assume that by small minority of religious groups you mean me ; )

No, not at all just you. The concept of the undead (and witchery etc.) has come
up as a complaint with regularity in discussing the Harry Potter books and I
read this statement as being along the same lines.

Personally it doesnt cross my family policy (not sure if I have one). I have
just always appreciated the way lego stayed clear of both actual states (in
terms of warfare) and religious issues (in terms of death and after-life) and

The castle line has always had at least two factions and typically good and
bad (it always seemed obvious to me from the colours and choice of sets that
the Lions were good and the Eagles bad). I dont really see how undead are a
religious issue, except as mentioned in a different context, to a small minority
of religious groups.

I also prefer the more classic lego factions fighting over treasure to the
newer lego model of one force bent on the destruction of the other
(exo-force and now castle, by my first impression). I hail from Northern
Ireland, and perhaps that makes me overly sensitive on this issue, but I have
never liked two factions trying to eliminate each other in toys...

I can understand this view (I share it myself to some degree) but it seems that
to be competitive in todays market it is neccesary. I notice with my five year
old nephew that he really likes the concept of good and bad and, most
importantly, roleplaying the sides.
|
Again apologies for any offense, I dont set Legos family policy and cant
influence it....
|
No offense taken and I hope none given. Neither do I have an influence over the
policy but there are times when I like to add a counterview to the record when I
see something I disagree with.
