Hey y'all, while discussing the idea of playsets/dioramas that transcend scales,
i.e. are appropriate as "different" settings from m-fig, thru b-fig, and
potentially up to galidor/knights kingdom II figs ("g-fig"?, "k-fig"?, what
about "j-fig" for "jumbo figure? that's what I'll use in the future i think),
over in lugnet.belville, I got to wondering if the j-figs are able to pass thru
the 1x8x12 doorframes that are included in set #4757 hogwarts castle (along with
a multitude of belville sets).
if so, it's easy for me to imagine future sets that might just achieve scale
transcenance. think along the lines of a simple castle portcullis that's tall
enough to be a main entrance to an m-fig guarded city, but also large enough to
be a minor gateway for a j-fig garden or courtyard. in the middle, it can serve
as a simple entranceway for a b-fig palace.
I've got a few pics of some variations on this theme as detailed below. If
anybody else has some work that leans in this direction, I'd appreciate it if
you could share it with us.
Oh, and to see another take on the same idea, go up a folder and click on "pink
arch variations" and see some good ideas for an otherwise hideous part ;)
