I hope this wont make too much noise. Just a few thoughts I had...
In 1987 there was a cartoon series on TV - knowen as Visionaries: Knights
of the Magical Light. The series wasnt that a big succsess and only
survived one season and Im not sure how many of you heard or rememebr that
series.
On the first instance I looked on the new KKII I thought they look too much
the same.
I took some photos from the series in compare with KKII (that youll able to
see by clicking the picture):
And all I can say - judge for yourself. I really want to know what other
thinks.
P.S. I am not in anyway suggesting that TLC copied from that series, just
that maybe their designers grow up on the series and (knowingly or not
knowingly) inspired by it (or worse, they saw that series as kids and as far
as they know knights really looks like that - they werent real knights in
the series as well:)

There has been some very recent discussion of the fact that Brickshelf will no
longer host composite (i.e. partially non-LEGO) title images unless they are
entered into the Avatar category (which doesnt show up in the recent additions
area).
Anyways, aside from the fact that the various knights in both stories wear
brightly colored armor (which arguably makes them easier for kids to identify,
and has been used in many other kid shows, like Voltron and the Power Rangers),
I think youre stretching a bit here. Consider the full characteristics of
these pairings:
Leoric: blue armor, lion totem, chosen leader of the good guys
vs.
Jayko: powder (aka wuss) blue armor, hawk totem, rookie knight
Arzon: navy blue armor w/ purple accents, eagle totem, learned ranger
vs.
Danju: bright purple armor, wolf totem, wise veteran
Darkstorm: forest green armor w/ blue accents, mollusk totem, main villain
vs.
Rascus: bright green armor, monkey totem, joker
Cindarr: red armor w/ black accents, gorilla totem, kind-hearted but dim-witted
villain strongman vs.
Santis: red armor, bear totem, strongman
Cravex: dark-grey armor w/ red accents, Phylot (flying lizardlike scavenger)
totem, head goon vs.
Shadowknight: black armor w/ red accents, scorpion emblem, generic goon
Merklynn: bald head, long white beard, standard brown wizard garb, neutral
wizard who supplied both teams with their powers. vs.
nameless wizard: bald head, long white beard, standard brown wizard garb,
Guardian of the Heart and Shield (considering the source, hes probably guarding
it from evil, but he could concievably be the equivalent of the dragon guarding
the Golden Fleece).
In addition tot he fact that the four Jelly-Bean Knights merely have the ability
to draw on the primary characteristics of their totems while the Visionaries can
actually transform into theirs, there are a huge number of good guys and bad
guys left unaccounted for. There are also so many Visionaries that it would be
very hard for TLC to produce any color of armor that didnt have some sort of
parallel in the Visionaries group.
