Re: a name for "castle world"

Hi Pawel and Craig! I think this whole Idea is great! Excellent work Pawel! Might even inspire me to put something together finally... You might want to consider Danish words that mean "Land of Castles" or "World of Castles" or perhaps Latin. This (...) (25 years ago, 22-Jan-00, to lugnet.castle)

(...) True. Fero/ferre is also a verb, whereas "ferrum" is a noun. As an indicator, the periodic table's entry for iron is still (and will always be) Fe. (...) There's also a few others interesting Latin metallurgical terms running around our world (...) (25 years ago, 22-Jan-00, to lugnet.castle)

  Idea for Castle World Website

I don't know if this has already been thought of by Pawel or anyone else, but I'll say it anyway. On Pawel's "Castle-World" website, he says that he needs to know the dimensions of the universe. I think distances should still be measured in LUs. As (...) (25 years ago, 22-Jan-00, to lugnet.castle)

Re: a name for "castle world"

(...) Keeping in mind that at some future date we may want to get a Domain Name for this site we should probably keep LEGO out of the name. If say we named the Land "Studland" then some day we could have a Domain Name like "www.studland.org". I am (...) (25 years ago, 22-Jan-00, to lugnet.castle)

(...) Good point! We should think about that. (...) Hmmm... Stud land, the land of the manly, studly Studs ;-) (...) Yes, we definitely should think about that. How's about "BricKastle"? Or BricKastland? (as in, Brick + Castle + land) -Shiri (25 years ago, 22-Jan-00, to lugnet.castle)

Re: Idea for Castle World Website

I like your ideas, but a few questions: -What units are LUs? (not light years I guess) -How would you determine who wins the war? Army sizes aren't enough, there are cases throughout history where little armies overcame big ones. (e.g. Maccabies (...) (25 years ago, 22-Jan-00, to lugnet.castle)

Re: a name for "castle world"

(...) Well, in my theme park, I have a castle-themed area. It was originally called CastleWorld, but I though that it was a little too boring of a name, so now it is Castle Hill (and PirateWorld became Pirate Cove). I don't know if it works for a (...) (25 years ago, 22-Jan-00, to lugnet.castle)

Re: a name for "castle world"

I like the wink to Tolkien, but it seems to me that lego castles are a bit more Arthurian than Middle Earthy. What about "Bricktannia"? Or a variation on Camelot, something like "Camedot" or "Brickelot", but maybe something stupid sounding. Of (...) (25 years ago, 22-Jan-00, to lugnet.castle)
