hey everyone,
thanks to everyone for the kind words 'bout my teaser pics. I've been
lurking recently so i could take some time to rewrite my storyline, and i
think it's coming along so far. Below is an excerpt from the history of my
realm, Velaria. This parable explains the major mythology of Velaria, namely
the 10 crystals of power. If you're not bored, let me know! pics to
accompany this story shall arive soon. and now, here goes...

------------story begin-------------
Chapter One:
The Age of the Gods and the First War of the Crystals

From nothingness, there came power beyond thought. It was known as the
One: Lymdralis, the unchained.
With his light he created the Realm of Velaria. It was to be a dwelling
for his power, for as he wrought the lands and oceans, so did he become the
same.
When his task was finished, he retreated to the center of velaria, where he
slept for many ages.
While the Unchained power slept below, life teemed on Velaria. Creatures
of all shapes and sizes walked about and fed on the plants and drank from
the streams. There were not yet self-aware beings at this time, this is
important to remember.
When his slumber ended, Lymdralis returned to the lands above, arriving
first in the middle plains of Lore; a place where Lorien Von Lobo would much
later live. There, Lymdralis erected a huge temple as his true dwelling, and
ruled the peaceful lands for four decades.
It came to pass that Lymdralis grew lonely amidst the untouched beauty of
velaria, and since that time he referred to velaria as Lyaea, the land of
silent beauty. He then took the larger pat of his power, and created the ten
gods of Velaria, the Symdrall (as they are properly called.) He gave them
dominion over the many lands, and asked only in return that they never bring
war upon each other or tear asunder his works.
He gave them each his power, divided equally yet uniquely, for each prince
of lyaea had become the source of a separate, yet vast, power. The ten sons
bowed before Lymdralis and deaprted for their kingdoms to rule.

The ten symdrall are named and distinguished thusly:
1. Guldeeryn (Gull-deer-rin) the Great One, prince of peace and light. He
resides in the White castle: Guldorath. He was given power over order and
harmony.
2. Prydmysnul (Prid-mis-null) the stone, prince of earth and forest. His
dwelling is the forest itself, which he named Nolse-Durin (the Forest of
Illusion.) He is king of the ground and all things which grow from it.
3. Glamdryn (Glam-drin) the wise, Prince of Knowledge and thought. He is the
source of endless answers, and created the written and spoken languages in
Velaria.
4. Brolhern the angry, prince of pyre and immolation. He controls fire, as
well as it's other forms (ash, rock, and magma.)
5. Anvis the unstoppable, prince of tides. All the bodies of water are his
home, and he commands the life within it.
6. Durchon (Der-kon) the balanced, prince of Justice. He resides over the
many dualities of Velaria, and keeps honor as his own sacred vow.
7. Vislyll (Vis-lil) the endless, prince of time. He chronicles all which
transpires in the many lands, and can travel through time with no
deterrance. He is the last remaining son of the symdrall, and now walks
among his father's creations as the Unknown Scribe.
8. Mynthryll (Min-thrill) the sorcerer, prince of witchcraft. He is the
father of the vast conglomerate power known as "blue magic" or "Basic
magic," a hierarchy of spells now used widely by modern descendants of
Mynthryll's first students, the Mages of Mynthryll.
9. Heldramdjin (Hell-dram-jin) the swordsman, prince of weapons and battle.
He forges many tools in his ovens, and his fighting style was unmatched even
by the other symdrall. He chose only to use his weapons and skills to
prevent evil.
10. Kazahad the greatest, prince of change and rebirth. Lymdralis made
Kazahad first among the Symdrall, and named him as his true heir. Kazahad
was powerful, for he ruled over all things in their one similarity: death.
However, Kazahad despised his father for bringing his brothers to life. He
lusted for greater power and a seat at his father's side, but his spirit was
not yet fully tainted.

The 10 symdrall and Lymdralis lived in peace for many years following.
While his brothers ruled in their kingdoms, Kazahad locked himself in his
stronghold and spoke his defiant thoughts to himself. He justified his lust
by calling it higher adoration of Lymdralis, or "Drysmalle" in symdrallan
tongue. He became truly blackhearted then, and he ripped stones from the
ground of his fortress, and he made them into vast armies of evil things. He
planned in silence, until 100 years had passed.

It was then that Lymdralis called his sons back to him. He bade them to
rejoice, for his dreams of a peaceful land were now reality. Kazahad then
stood and faced his brothers.

"This world is false. All of you desecrate the power our father has given
you. I claim this day my place as my father's true son. I shall bring my
host upon your kingdoms, one by one, in war." He unsheathed his blade,
Kazadring, which was black as his heart. He raised it's razor edge to the
throat of his brother, Guldeeryn, and spoke a pleadge which would doom
Velaria forever. "Before this war is done, this blade shall find a home in
two of my brothers. The rest will praise the true Prince of Lyaea til their
throats crack in exhaustion." He then left his father's house and returned
to his dark land to the east.

Lymdralis spoke to the 9 others then. "Do as I command, my sons. Pour your
force into a vessel made of Cilhorn (crystal as it is called in Symdrallan.)
Aligned in this form, your power shall deliver your fallen brother to justice."

And so the 9 crafted their vessels. But Kazahad was not unawares. His ever
present force was there, and he heard of the Cilhorn weapons which would
prove his undoing. He then took Kazadring and drove it into a Cilhorn
encasing. He recrafted it as the Black crystal, and so there were 10
crystals of power, and the first war stirred in Velaria.

So ends the First Age, with the creation of the crystal of power, and the
treachery of Kazahad.
