I really feel lego needs to get their head outta their butt, or more of my
money is going to go to clones :(

The windows are also quite cool, and add a nice touch to
houses or castles. Purists will probably kill me for this post lol.

I've just gotten home from seeing the movie and after just a moment of
thought, it occured to me how if LEGO had only cast some of the existing
Belville or Fabuland pieces in other shades...say the gazebo pieces or
decorative lamp posts in light or very light gray, or reintroduced some of
the items from the Forestman theme, how easy it would have been for them to
create a very complete LOTR theme...sigh...ahhhh well. I'm quite certain
that the movie will provide inspiration aplenty for some of the more
accomplished modelers to recreate many of the signature scenes from the
books/movies without any additional assistance from TLG.

Well, I just bought the Battle at Weathertop set, and I do believe I'll be going back to get the Buckleberry Ferry set, the bricks really aren't that bad, and they have some features that Lego doesn't give us... though I wish they would.... the (...) (23 years ago, 29-Dec-01, to lugnet.castle)
