This has probably been done before, but I'll describe it anyway, just in case...
I was playing round with my castle figs (rebuilding after a Brikwarz
defeat), and was doing the standard pennant flag on the lance thing for the
cavalry. Then I tried not putting the pennant the whole way onto the lance,
and putting a chrome divers spear on the top (into the top of the pennant).
The result is a longer lance, with a vicious looking chrome point.
With a (normal castle) spear it looks a bit too long, but might make a
reasonable pike (although IIRC pikes were not usually adorned with flags).
