Re: Large pictures of 2007 Castle Sets

(...) Not only that, but if my eyes don't deceive me, that same set looks like it has technic bricks at the base of the walls, one plate from the bottom, which makes it appear they might be designed to be compatible with the mid-1980's grey-wall (...)   Re: Large pictures of 2007 Castle Sets

(...) Oh, wow. I'm going to need 4 of the black skeleton horse, immediately if not sooner. And do my eyes deceive me, or does 7094 (King's Castle Siege) use real plates as a base? Based on the packaging alone, I'd have to say this line is going to (...) (18 years ago, 2-Mar-07, to lugnet.castle)

(...) (Sorry to reply to my own post, but...) If only the horses were in new grey, 7092 might qualify as my favourite LEGO set ever. Cheers Richie Dulin FUT .color (18 years ago, 28-Feb-07, to lugnet.castle, lugnet.color, FTX) !

Re: Large pictures of 2007 Castle Sets

(...) Yes, the skeleton horses are cute, but wagon driver having a whip is just plain hilarious. Cheers Richie Dulin (18 years ago, 28-Feb-07, to lugnet.castle, FTX)

Re: Large pictures of 2007 Castle Sets

Those skeleton horses are pretty cool, it's a good, new idea. Though in one of those pictures the skeleton was wielding a mase type of thing, and I'm afraid it's begining to look a lot like Playmobile as far as their weapons are (...) (18 years ago, 28-Feb-07, to lugnet.castle)

Re: Large pictures of 2007 Castle Sets

(...) I see those skeleton horses pulling the war wagon that have been talked about. I'm afraid that they look like small dinosaurs to my untrained eyes. Not as scary as one might expect the undead to look like. But I'm ok with them being cute: (...) (18 years ago, 28-Feb-07, to lugnet.castle, FTX)

  Tunnel Mouth / Bridge Arch

The tracks from the Snowmobile 8272 and Bulldozer 8275 make a great tunnel mouth or bridge arch - smoother than using slope bricks. (URL) used 27 links at the moment, fixing them twice on each side. The arch as built fits well over 6-wide, 8-wide or (...)   Re: My first castle MOC

Well I've commented elsewhere, but it was still good to take another look. I like the way the castle overhangs the natural rock so dramatically. Glad to see your first (of many!) castle MOC. God Bless, Nathan (URL) (18 years ago, 31-Jan-07, to lugnet.loc.au, lugnet.castle, FTX)

  Re: When the Kraken Awakes

Welcome to your world! This is an amazing MOC. Full of great features and yet pleasing as a whole. There is so much to like here I don't know where to start. All the dwarves' devices are wonderful (ballista, elevation device, stairs, etc). The ship (...) (18 years ago, 17-Jan-07, to lugnet.castle, FTX)

Re: Chocdelia and the Chocolate Factory

(...) LOL! Now there's someone who's sensible about choosing food groups! I love the overall design and approach. A suggestion, however, would be to try to capture more curvature along the dragon's back. Right now, the spine feels a little rigid and (...) (18 years ago, 16-Jan-07, to lugnet.castle, FTX)

  Re: When the Kraken Awakes

Dee-licious, Paul. Makes me want to run right down to the local sushi restaurant. Very scary and wriggly. On the kraken head, it looks like you stacked plates with a constant step size. This does tend to make it look a little pyramid-y. As you model (...) (18 years ago, 15-Jan-07, to lugnet.castle, FTX)
