Re: Poe story for Halloween: Cask of Amontillado

(...) No, I hadn't seen the Raven one before, but now I have. That one is just as nice. I rather liked how you changed his face in the final picture. One other thing I liked was how you did the legs of the chair - I may have to steal that idea from (...) (20 years ago, 27-Oct-04, to lugnet.castle, FTX)

Re: Poe story for Halloween: Cask of Amontillado

(...) Hey, that is pretty nice, now that you mention it. :) (...) You could just select the black area around Fortunato's head (either selecting by hand, or the magic wand tool set to low tolerance would probably do the trick), and then adjust the (...)   Re: Poe story for Halloween: Cask of Amontillado

(...) Um, I mean, of course that's what I was thinking. Now my work can be used in literature classes everywhere. ;) (...) Thanks. Now I wish I'd come up with this tool when I made a (URL) building scene> last year. (URL) Bruce (20 years ago, 26-Oct-04, to lugnet.castle, lugnet.build, FTX)

Re: Poe story for Halloween: Cask of Amontillado

(...) I'm glad you like it. :) 'Tis the season to be twisted. (...) Thanks. It was a little too boring when there was just a flat gray wall. I think I've seen others do similar things with technic bricks to make patterns. (...) I believe I first got (...) (20 years ago, 26-Oct-04, to lugnet.castle, FTX)

  Re: Armor!

~NiCe! Well then, I’ll have to try that metallic wax-based stuff soon!!! Wax-based hun?!? It’ll be interesting to see how it adheres to the ABS, and if it smudges? Here’s my attempt at some realism in armor…with some paint-fading technique. (Please (...) (20 years ago, 26-Oct-04, to lugnet.castle, lugnet.build.minifigs, FTX)

Re: Poe story for Halloween: Cask of Amontillado

(...) Good heavens, I'm glad you kept it! Poe's trowel is a quintessential element of foreshadowing in early American short-fiction. To omit it would be to lose an important artifact of Poe's work. Additionally, I like the creative way you overcame (...) (20 years ago, 26-Oct-04, to lugnet.castle, lugnet.build, FTX)

Re: Poe story for Halloween: Cask of Amontillado

(...) Thanks. The wine rack was inspired by one by Anthony Sava and other people's variations, as described in (URL) this thread from classic-castle> Bruce (20 years ago, 26-Oct-04, to lugnet.castle, FTX)

Re: Poe story for Halloween: Cask of Amontillado

(...) Thanks! You've seen my rendition of (URL) The Raven> from last Halloween, right? I expect that you'll see another Poe story from me next Halloween. I've thought about ways to do both Tell-Tale Heart and The Pit and the Pendulum. Bruce (20 years ago, 26-Oct-04, to lugnet.castle, FTX)

Re: Poe story for Halloween: Cask of Amontillado

(...) Thanks. I'm so glad that trowel makes sense. I had no idea what I was going to use for that and almost just replaced "trowel" with "hammer and chisel" to use a hammer and a screwdriver, but I was looking for odd elements and came across the (...)
