Announcing the NWBrickCon™ 2004 Dirty Brickster Event

The Dirty Brickster is a fun and exciting event where each participant contributes a LEGO® related item worth approximately $10.00. Each contribution is wrapped to hide the contents from other participants. Each participant receives a number and the (...)   Re: A slice of tudor

(...) Thanks, I'm hoping to make more to fit with these (or modify some of the ones I had already done). I didn't work on any interior details. Jason Spears | (URL) BrickCentral> | (URL) MichLUG> (20 years ago, 3-Sep-04, to lugnet.castle, FTX)

  Re: A slice of tudor

(...) I think it may be helpful to have the final assortment be some multiple of 90 degrees when you add up all their angles, so that they can be used to make a tight block that doesn't have any angle gaps. I may look to making sure some of my (...) (20 years ago, 3-Sep-04, to lugnet.castle, FTX)

  Re: A slice of tudor

Awesome! Very realistic when paired up with the other house. You've got something really cool going on here. Does it have an inside ... ? -- Pawel (20 years ago, 3-Sep-04, to lugnet.castle, FTX)

  Re: A slice of tudor

(...) Yeap, 3 studs in back. I wanted to go thinner, but the bricks didn't seem to want to work well that way. It's cozy inside, not cramped. (...) On my to do list. I'm pondering some smaller, but flatsided buildings to go along with them, but (...) (20 years ago, 3-Sep-04, to lugnet.castle, FTX)

  Re: A slice of tudor

(...) How thin IS it? I get something like 3 studs in back? That may be a LITTLE too thin... :-) I like the way this is going though! Next you need to make one that is concave instead of convex! (20 years ago, 3-Sep-04, to lugnet.castle, FTX)

  A slice of tudor

Another house, along the same lines as my (URL) corner house> that I announced earlier in the week. This one is quite a bit smaller, if a brick or so taller.   Re: Medieval Village Layout and New Corner House

(...) Thanks for the compliment. Derek's house is sweet, but going for a completely different asthetic. I wouldn't compare the two. I've been thinking about reworking a few details. If I do, I'll try to get some pictures of the interior construction (...) (20 years ago, 3-Sep-04, to lugnet.castle, FTX)

Re: Medieval Village Layout and New Corner House

(...) That house is hot with a capital HOT. Derek Schin's (URL) burning CCC house> isn't even comparable in temperature. I need to go fan myself, I'm feeling faint! By the way, could you rip it apart and photograph the juicy secrets to its (...) (20 years ago, 31-Aug-04, to lugnet.castle, FTX)

  Re: The Prismatic Mirror

(...) Brilliant. Pun intended. This sure beats the ol' boulders-from-high-places routine. I can just imagine a little rabbit hole from the surface filled with mirrors to bounce sunlight precisely into the device in the deep-down caverns. You should (...)   Medieval Village Layout and New Corner House

I had the privilage of setting up a castle layout in a display case at work for the last week. Everyone seemed to enjoy it and I got a chance to share my hobby with my co-workers. (2 URLs) Also this weekend I worked on a new house. Specifically I (...) (20 years ago, 31-Aug-04, to lugnet.announce.moc, lugnet.castle, lugnet.org.us.michlug, FTX) !

  The Prismatic Mirror

It's pretty well known (in Ikros anyway) that Dragons and Dwarves just don't get along. Dwarves want gold, so they mine. Dragons want gold, so they kill Dwarves. They just don't mix well at parties. So how is a short little Dwarf supposed to defend (...) (20 years ago, 30-Aug-04, to lugnet.castle, lugnet.general, FTX) !

  Re: Siege weapons

Awesome ram! The ballistas remind me of the Qin army in the movie "Hero" that's out right now. That movied was amazing, especially when they performed "Storm." -- Pawel (20 years ago, 29-Aug-04, to lugnet.castle)

  Re: Siege weapons

Very nice work, Bruce. That battering ram is so cool. And the ballistas look quite elegant. Glad to be of inspiration on the chariot design. -Brendan (20 years ago, 28-Aug-04, to lugnet.castle)

  Re: Siege weapons

(...) These are very nice. I really like what you did with the pre-fab bucket piece. Those catapults are very nice looking. You have a nice little siege selection for storming castles. -Dan (20 years ago, 27-Aug-04, to lugnet.castle)

Re: Rise of the Dark Phoenix

(...) Nice. Great implementaton of the linked flames idea. You should post these things to mecha. -Joseph (20 years ago, 27-Aug-04, to lugnet.castle, lugnet.general, FTX)

Re: Rise of the Dark Phoenix

FLAMES!!! They DO come in handy. Awesome MOC. -Stefan- (...) (20 years ago, 26-Aug-04, to lugnet.castle, lugnet.general, FTX)

Re: Rise of the Dark Phoenix

(...) That is just too cool! I don't suppose you have a blacklight or know anyone who would let you borrow one? I think a pic of that thing under a blacklight would look incredible. (20 years ago, 26-Aug-04, to lugnet.castle, lugnet.general, FTX)

  Re: Siege weapons

Bruce, Very nice! I LOVE that battering ram, very original design! Magnus (20 years ago, 25-Aug-04, to lugnet.castle)

  Siege weapons

Hi all, Here are some siege weapons that will be used in my Tolkien story. Several of the designs are either inspired or directly copied from other builders; I've tried to give credit where it was due. (URL) (20 years ago, 25-Aug-04, to lugnet.announce.moc, lugnet.castle) !!
