Still working on that Maxihead, experiencing major problems...
I'm deeply sorry for bursting up in this subject. I don't find those "good
reasons" good at all, compared to all that we miss. And I don't find it likely
that, in the future, people like Sven Reger will find their way to the
Repository to find the replacement files. It sure is there now, but how will
people know that? I for one would never think of looking in the Wiki, but rather
at http://www.ldraw.org/Downloads.html or the Tracker - and find nothing.
Anyway, it's good to have this solution and be able to render minifig heads
directly from MLCad or any LDraw editor, via L3P and without any tweaking at
all, get them round just like they should be. I don't see any reason for anyone
to use the official polygon versions of these files, now that these are
available.
