Hi guys,
thank you very much for so many good answers in a very short time.
I found Anton Raves converter page yesterday. In the end the converted data was
useless for me and his documentation is unreadable on a Windows PC :-( As so
many others Lutz Uhlmann has stopped his great work with LGEO parts library.
I always prefer the "easy way" for getting good results. The model and the
enviroment take enough time to be built. I have no knowledge on building my own
parts and there are many many people out there who do an excellent job with
that!!!
I understand the problems the LDRAW crew has with embedding PovRay code in the
parts code.
In my opinion there should be more guys who support and develop the idea of the
LGEO library. On one side there is a clean parts library and on the other side I
get very good results if I want to render something.
For now I will try to give this picture a better look with ROUND minifig heads:

(...) I'll try - if I get enough time. There is a potential problem with the studs on top of the heads that I haven't solved yet. Btw, I found these beauties by Chuck Sommerville, too: (URL) (17 years ago, 1-Jul-07, to lugnet.cad.ray)
