I am using two fill lights on both sides of the castle with values 0.5*<1,1,1>
and the front light has a value of 2*<1,1,1>. That's why the shadows are so
hard. Next time i'll try area lights...

Which include files did you use for the trees?  They look great!  They
all appear to be a bit similar, though.  Especially the three to the
right along the water.

I am using the tomtree.inc. You can find it at the PovRay site's links page.
The trees are the same so i did a y-axis rotation on each tree as i placed
them so they don't look all the same. Tomtree.inc supports different kind of
trees. I'll take a look at it if i find some spare time...

The water needs some tweaking too ...
