Hello!

As I mentioned in an earlier post I wanted to re-render my spaceship
animation in a higher resolution.

http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=8496

And while i was doing this i decided to add some sound to it too. It is
around 1 mb. I rendered it with POVRay, added the sound with Adobe Premiere
and compressed it with DivX 4.11/MP3 codec. I think i will let it depart
next time - or at least let the minifig move some plastic muscles  ;-).

Any comments are appreciated ;-).

[ shameless plug on ] ;-)

For those who are interested in Raytrace/POVRay:
I put in for the 'Scene of the Month' contest on LDraw.org for december
((http://www.ldraw.org/motm/).

While i was advancing creating the scene I took some pics and put them up in
a gallery on brickshelf:

In the end my Celeron 933 needed one hour to render the scene. This is one
of my first tries on POVRay to create a whole scene.

My motivation was to take a really simple LEGO set and make a nice render
scene of it. Something you always imagined as child when you played with
these $4,50 Set. I made my decision for the 'Sea Hunter Set 6555' which isnt
really an exciting set but i bought it some time ago because i love to dive
myself.

Too bad i wasnt able to get a shark model so I concentrated on the treasure
theme. Fortunately Steve Bliss did the nice yellow rubber boat some time ago
(great work!)!

For those who are interested in the How-To:
I built this model with ML-Cad, converted it with LGEO and L3P to POVRay.
Then I fiddled around for several days to add the lightning, water,
landscape, changed the scene several times, and added a few new objects to
make it more
real.

I hope you like it ( hint hint ;-)) .

Questions or comments are welcome.

[ shameless plug off ]

Have a nice one

Carsten

(...) It does not work for me. I use WMP version 7.01 on W98se. The sound is correct but the picture is grayed and crypted. The previous version (without sound) was OK. You should note however that the official set does not have an M-Tron logo but a (...) (23 years ago, 4-Dec-01, to lugnet.cad, lugnet.cad.ray)
