Hi,

I'm having a funny problem with MLCAD and I wonder if anyone can help.

I have a very large model (just posted to lugnet.cad.dat.models as the
Fantasy Skyscraper).  Let's say I want to add a new part to this model.  On
a small model, I would drag the part onto one of the views (like the front
view) and it would put it reasonably near the most recent part I dropped.
It would always end up getting dropped "under" the cursor on the pane where
I completed the drop.

Unfortunately, it seems to be confused with this model.  Load it, select a
1x1x1 brick and attempt to drop it near the top of the building on the front
view.  It drops it way below the building (about +2000Y, instead of -2000Y)
and often not even near the cursor in the X direction.  The other parts
recently added all have Y coordinates around -2000.

The only way to deal with this is to go way down, find the part, and drag it
back up.  I tried to bring up the "Enter Position and rotation" dialog, but
no mater what I do, it doesn't move the part.

Does anyone know why MLCAD is confused in this case?

Does anyone have other suggestions as to how I can get new parts to place
correctly (at least under the cursor, and preferably "near" other recently
placed parts).

thanks

I had a look at this problem, and all I can say until now is: Thats true.

However for me it is possible to place the new part using the enter position
and rotation dialog, also it is possible to move the part in the view using
the mouse (If you cannot it's possible because of the small scale and that
the rotation point is made visible - in this case you properly just move the
rotation point and not the part - just disable the checkbox in the rotation
point dialog for viewing the rotation point and you should be able to move it.

In the mean time I will have a look what happens that the programm places
the part on the wrong position.
