There has to be an easier way. —John VanZwieten
Is there a way to drag a part from the part window into the model, and have it put in the same location of the previous part? Every time I drag a part into the overhead view, it ends up at z=0. -John Van (24 years ago, 13-Oct-00, to lugnet.cad.mlcad)

You can drop the part to the part list, or add it from the menu, providing you configured it correctly in the settings. Michael John VanZwieten <john_vanzwieten@email.msn.com> schrieb in im Newsbeitrag: G2Dz1F.ADL@lugnet.com... (...) (24 years ago, 14-Oct-00, to lugnet.cad.mlcad)

I guess it's somehow strange to use ... previous part is the part currently selected when you insert the new one :-/ so please try selecting the part which position should be inherited ... then add the new part by dragging it to the "list of parts (...)    Hi Michael; I get the same problem. When I drop a new part in the "list of parts in the model" it will show up at 0,-8,0 (or close to it depending on the size of the part- the "y" value will change, but x,z=0). I have tried selecting the "part which (...) (24 years ago, 16-Oct-00, to lugnet.cad.mlcad)

I have an update for you Michael. I am now using 1.99 If I have three parts in my Parts List... For ease I will call them in this order and position: A 0,0,0 B 10,10,10 C -100,-100,-100 If I take a new part D and drop it onto C, D will show up at (...)
