Would just like to add a couple things....
First of all, MLCAD can build it's own MPD files... All the options for mpds
are in the "multipart" menu. I use MLCAD all the time and have never found a
need for a seperate program to view, seperate, or build mpd files.... mlcad
can open a .MPD file, and work with it like it's a normal .DAT file. to
switch between imbedded .DAT files, just click on the arrow on the box next
labeled "Active Model"
NO need to use another program... MLCAD does everthing except convert to .POV
for you (speaking of which, if you want to put those models on your website I
suggest putting POV-Ray renders of them up also... use L3P to convert .dat
files to .pov files.... rename .mpd files as .dat files or export to .dat
files with MLCAD to convert.
Let me know if you need more help!

| (...) Firstly you should have posted this to lugnet.cad or lugnet.cad.dev. lugnet.cad.dev.org.ldraw is for discussion of the ldraw.org web page only. As for your question, what you want to do with the submodels is fine. For posting to your home (...) (25 years ago, 8-Jan-00, to lugnet.cad.dev.org.ldraw)
