Re: L3P -check Messages and hold votes

(...) I'm half done with a validation program that I've whipped up from existing LDDP code. Stay tuned. -Orion (15 years ago, 12-Jul-09, to lugnet.cad.dev.org.ldraw)

Re: L3P -check Messages and hold votes

(...) IMHO the page is quiet useful giving you a guideline when to hold a part and when not. You cannot expect a reviewer flicking through several pages to find out if the error he has spotted is reason enough to hold the part. To kickstart I'm (...)   Re: LDraw.org's position on web links to an external site

(...) I just deleted these two sites: (URL) I kept this one: (URL) sites host building instructions but Sven's site adds much more than simply piling up bricks in a .ldr file. This should make clear what we are aiming for. w. (15 years ago, 6-Jul-09, to lugnet.cad.dev.org.ldraw)

Re: L3P -check Messages and hold votes

(...) Actually, this page should probably be removed. The official library standards are listed in one place: (URL) other documents are probably out of date. -Orion (15 years ago, 6-Jul-09, to lugnet.cad.dev.org.ldraw)

LDraw.org's position on web links to an external site

The LDraw Steering Committee (SteerCo) has elaborated a policy on what kind of links to external websites should be listed on LDraw.org. LDraw.org is a web site dedicated to virtual building with LEGO bricks, not LEGO in general. We focus on the (...) (15 years ago, 6-Jul-09, to lugnet.cad.dev.org.ldraw)

Re: L3P -check Messages and hold votes

(...) This page definitely needs to be updated, if only to add text saying that planarcheck should be used instead for checking non-coplanar quads. I didn't see the lugnet post when that standard changed, and it's hard or impossible to find the new (...) (15 years ago, 2-Jul-09, to lugnet.cad.dev.org.ldraw)

Re: L3P -check Messages and hold votes

(...) I think the best would be to make an upgrade to L3P for current standards, as it is the most used checking tool IMHO. Most of the technical hold reasons are already defined but not present at the mentioned page. I have tried to put all I saw (...) (15 years ago, 30-Jun-09, to lugnet.cad.dev.org.ldraw)

L3P -check Messages and hold votes

Hi folks, first of all a big "Thank you" to all the authores how have contributed re-writing Non-CA parts or get the so-called L(EGO)Draw parts (coming from the LEGO Group through the LEGO Universe team) fit for the PT.   Re: LDraw LEGO Ambassadors: Call for nominations

Re: LDraw LEGO Ambassadors: Call for nominations

(...) I am seeking nomination at TBB and maybe other places but I think I'd rather see someone in the LSC or LSteerCo be nominated for LDraw if possible. Should noone be accepted but I am I will, of course, take on the duty. Tim (15 years ago, 7-Jun-09, to lugnet.cad.dev.org.ldraw)
