I'll check that out immediately. At the moment, I'm trying to figure out how to
make the Polling option in LDDP to work as a stepper.
I'm rendering existing parts by blocks of code to see how you folks created
them. The STEP function will obviously help me do it line by line.
I started out with LDAO as suggested in _Virtual Lego_, I'm currently looking
into LDDP as suggested by Orion, So far, I like the colorization and
multi-editting capability of LDDP. The plug-in capability also intrigues me.
Looking at the hundreds of lines of code needed to create a part is quite
intimidating. For now, I wish to see myself cutting and pasting blocks of code
from existing parts, rendering and adjusting them in a different window and then
merging them into a new part. Of course, this is just talk. I'm still just
exploring the parts authoring landscape.
Nevertheless, I find myself wishing for some kind of a tri-mesh merge function.
I imagine bringing together primitive or semi-primitive parts in MLCAD then
clicking a function to merge the code. I wish there was a way to replicate a
"local" primitive in varying positions, etc., etc. Anyway, I'm sure sooner or
later, I'll quit wishing there were such and just hunker down to work.
Although, as we all know, necessity is the mother of invention.
