Tim,

You need to make extra subfiles, for the dithered colors.
(LDraw requires this; otherwise, LDraw messes up rendering
the dithered colors.)

"Dithered colors" are those color codes from 256 to 511.

AAAaaaaaah! so that's the reason!

(for ex.):
Simply copy all the quads for color-383 into a separate file,
change the color code of these quads to "16", and reference
this subfile in the main file (using color code 383).

(Steve, isn't this in one of the FAQs?
Which one?  Thnx.  --Franklin)

Hope this helps!  ;-)

Yes, that's VERY helpful.

I will fix that immediately, and repost.

A question though:

Should I really use color 383 (chrome) for the body of Jango's helmpack and
the details on Boba's? Neither of them are truly "chrome plated", but they
certainly aren't light grey, either.  They're more of a silvery grey.

I ask because the POV-Ray renderings of these parts are mirror-like. Way too
much reflection.

Is there an accepted color used for silver?

Thanks for the feedback!
