  patents

be verry careful about making TLG aware of ldraw because they have probobly patented lego (or at least parts of it) and if you tell them about ldraw then they may find a way to get you for patent ifringement. (25 years ago, 9-Mar-99, to lugnet.cad.dev)

  Re: patents

(...) 1) TLG knows about LDraw. 2) One or more LEGO employees read this newsgroup/mailing list. Steve (25 years ago, 9-Mar-99, to lugnet.cad.dev)

  Re: patents

(...) Hmmm. Okay, I see two options: <EXCITED_JOHN_CLEESE_VOICE> Right then. 1. We don't mention LDraw by name at all any more. To keep a low profile, we could set up a secret project and use the code name "Henrietta" - e.g. "The April 1999 parts (...) (25 years ago, 9-Mar-99, to lugnet.off-topic.fun)

  Re: patents

(...) I say go forth blindly. Just do it. If they get upset, then we worry about it. I would be more concerned if we were talking about Star TREK elements, since Paramount is well known for trying to squash anything they can't profit from. -- Terry (...) John Cleese is good, as long as we don't get into the Lumberjack song.... -- Everything else is just a toy... (URL) (25 years ago, 9-Mar-99, to lugnet.off-topic.fun)

  Re: patents

(...) Methinks legoverse doth protest too much. :-P (1) BTW, I prefer the term "para-mental". It keeps me out of the loony bin. (...) Or are they [INSERT_PUN_HERE]ing me over the edge...? >:-) Cheers, - jsproat 1. Good quote. That's my favorite line (...) (25 years ago, 9-Mar-99, to lugnet.off-topic.fun)

  Re: patents

(...) While the HitchHiker's guide is definitely literary by my standards, I'm not due if Back to the Future qualifies. Say, don't you have any more _difficult_ R's to S? Jasper (25 years ago, 11-Mar-99, to lugnet.off-topic.fun)

  Re: patents

(...) Au contrare, mon frere. While it certainly has a lot of undesirable attributes -- it was directed with teen-agers in mind, it starred Mr. Fox, it had music by Huey Lewis, it introduced new slang terms into everyday lingo, etc. -- the movie (...)   Re: patents

(...) I wouldn't call BD or GnR literature either. By any stretch of the imagination. Worthy of study? possibly. But literature? Not in my definition. And why would you want to watch it _again_ in class? I & III, the good ones, are on every 4-6 (...) (25 years ago, 12-Mar-99, to lugnet.off-topic.fun)
