People, I've noticed a minor problem with the current way
of naming/titling "petterned" parts.

Here's a brief excerpt from PARTS.LST
(sorted by Description):

3070.DAT      Tile  1 x  1
2555.DAT      Tile  1 x  1 with Clip
3070DISP.DAT  Tile  1 x  1 with Computer Display Pattern
3070P06.DAT   Tile  1 x  1 with Red & Black Buttons Pattern
3069.DAT      Tile  1 x  2
2412.DAT      Tile  1 x  2 Grille
3069P101.DAT  Tile  1 x  2 w/ SW Computer Pattern
45.DAT        Tile  1 x  2 with Ball
3069P05.DAT   Tile  1 x  2 with Black Grille Pattern
3069P25.DAT   Tile  1 x  2 with Computer Pattern
3069P30.DAT   Tile  1 x  2 with Controls Pattern
3069P09.DAT   Tile  1 x  2 with Danger Stripes pattern
2432.DAT      Tile  1 x  2 with Handle
3069P01.DAT   Tile  1 x  2 with Letter Pattern
3069P12.DAT   Tile  1 x  2 with Long Black Arrow Pattern
3069P07.DAT   Tile  1 x  2 with Long Red Arrow with White Border Pattern
3069P06.DAT   Tile  1 x  2 with Long Yellow Arrow with Black Border Pattern
3069P68.DAT   Tile  1 x  2 with Red & Yellow Controls Pattern
3069P15.DAT   Tile  1 x  2 with Short Red Arrow with Grey Border Pattern
3069P21.DAT   Tile  1 x  2 with Short Yellow Arrow Pattern
3069P13.DAT   Tile  1 x  2 with Short Yellow Arrow with Black Border Pattern
3069P52.DAT   Tile  1 x  2 with Telemetry Computer Pattern

Notice that the patterned parts are *not* directly after their
respective "master" part, but are often separated by one or two
other parts in between.

I propose that, instead of our usual convention of naming
a patterned part "Whatever with Blah-Blah-Blah pattern",
we instead name it "Whatever - Blah-Blah-Blah pattern".

This will result in the patterend parts being immediately
after their respective "master" part, as show below:

3070.DAT      Tile  1 x  1
3070DISP.DAT  Tile  1 x  1 - Computer Display Pattern
3070P06.DAT   Tile  1 x  1 - Red & Black Buttons Pattern
2555.DAT      Tile  1 x  1 with Clip
3069.DAT      Tile  1 x  2
3069P05.DAT   Tile  1 x  2 - Black Grille Pattern
3069P25.DAT   Tile  1 x  2 - Computer (Red/Black Buttons) pattern
3069P30.DAT   Tile  1 x  2 - Controls pattern
3069P09.DAT   Tile  1 x  2 - Danger Stripes pattern
3069P01.DAT   Tile  1 x  2 - Letter Pattern
3069P12.DAT   Tile  1 x  2 - Long Black Arrow Pattern
3069P07.DAT   Tile  1 x  2 - Long Red Arrow with White Border Pattern
3069P06.DAT   Tile  1 x  2 - Long Yellow Arrow with Black Border Pattern
3069P68.DAT   Tile  1 x  2 - Red & Yellow Controls Pattern
3069P15.DAT   Tile  1 x  2 - Short Red Arrow with Grey Border Pattern
3069P21.DAT   Tile  1 x  2 - Short Yellow Arrow Pattern
3069P13.DAT   Tile  1 x  2 - Short Yellow Arrow with Black Border Pattern
3069P101.DAT  Tile  1 x  2 - SW Computer pattern
3069P52.DAT   Tile  1 x  2 - Telemetry Computer pattern
2412.DAT      Tile  1 x  2 Grille
45.DAT        Tile  1 x  2 with Ball
2432.DAT      Tile  1 x  2 with Handle

Thoughts?

Thanks,
Franklin

(...) This would do what you want, unless there was another, similar part, whose name is the same as the master part, except the final dimension included a fractional part, such as "... 2 & 1/3". Not that this is something that commonly collides (...) (24 years ago, 18-Dec-00, to lugnet.cad.dev)
