Maybe there's something broken that I need to fix.
Lemme know in more detail what happens!

Hi, Todd,

1.  My usual method of posting:

Compose a message in YahooMail (to "lugnet.cad.dat.parts@lugnet.com"),
and copy-and-paste the DAT file into the body of the message.
However, when the DAT file is over 30k, the copy-and-paste usually copies
no more than that first 30k.  Also, if I try to be sneaky, and copy-and-paste
only 20k chunks at a time, the message buffer limits me to that same 30k
it seems.

2.  Alternate method:

Compose a message in YahooMail, _attaching_ the DAT file to the message.
But, LUGNet _rejects_ all messages with MIME attachements, so no dice there.

3.  Next:

I try to directly post a message to LUGNet, using the "Post" page
("http://www.lugnet.com/news/post/").  However, if I try to copy-and-paste
the DAT file into the message-text box, it copies only the first 30k or so,
so no dice again.

4.  Direct-Post Redux:

I try to find another page at LUGNet that will allow me to post
my gargantuan DAT file.  I see that the "CAD" main-directory page
has a "new message" icon, but this icon doesn't exist in any sub-page,
and the "new message" function doesn't offer me the option
of uploading a DAT file (which _does_ happen when I _reply_
to a message in the ".cad.dat" directories!!).

5.  A silly idea which nonetheless works ain't silly:

Finally, I once again have to post an initial "blank" message,
to which I can reply and upload the DAT file.

This is what I was referring to.  If I'm doing something boneheaded
(which wouldn't surprise me) ;-P
please let me know what I'm doing wrong
and what I _ought_ to be doing instead.

Thanks,
Franklin

(...) I just saw that "New Message" icon in "cad.dat.PARTS" (although it still ain't there in ".cad.DAT"). I hadn't noticed it there before now. (I saw it in ".CAD", just not in ".cad.dat.PARTS"). :-P (...) [sigh] I think I'll go to bed, now... (...) (24 years ago, 2-Nov-00, to lugnet.cad.dev)

(...) Try this: 1. Go to (URL) 2. Click the "New" icon to compose a new message. 3. Type in a subject, a description in the body, and click the "Browse" button next to the "Upload/Attach DAT File" text. Now click "Post". Does that work for you? (...) (24 years ago, 2-Nov-00, to lugnet.cad.dev)
