Here are my comments on the remainder of the parts in the vote.
The "I don't have this part" comments are there so y'all'll know I
couldn't verify the accuracy of this part, I only looked for obvious
problems.
I believe all of the patterned parts suffer from two problems:
- The pattern is raised from surface of part.
- The blank face was not removed from the pattern area.
30208.dat Cylinder 4 x 4 Hemisphere Multifaceted
- Considering the _interesting_ pattern on the real part, I
didn't expect the hexes to match the real part, so I didn't
compare that way.
32109.dat Electric Mindstorms RCX 8 x 12 Bottom Cover (needs work)
- I'm pretty much accepting the correctness of all the Mindstorms
parts. I looked them over somewhat, but I didn't scrutinize them
with a caliper.
3613.dat Arm Piece with Towball Socket
- Needs lip
3711.DAT Technic Link Chain
3873.DAT Technic Link Tread
- Why not name this part: Technic Link 1x2.5?
- I don't have this part
3900.dat Minifig Tool Signal Holder (needs work)
- Interesting positioning of the part - not centered on a stud, not
positioned to be gripped by a minifig.
425p01.dat Baseplate 32 x 32 Road 3 Lane with Road And Crosswalk
Pattern
- If edge-lines are going to be included around patterned areas, they
should be drawn first, and *in the complementary color*.
- I don't have this part.
4698.dat Technic Axle Nut
- I don't have this part.
606P33.DAT Baseplate 32 x 32 Airport Runway Straight Pattern
- I don't have this part
608P33.DAT Baseplate 32 x 32 Airport Runway T-Junction Pattern
(needs work)
- I don't have this part
70496.dat Technic Hook Large Metallic
- Use this number, this part couldn't be released in plastic
70749.dat Minifig Knife
- Use this number, this part won't be released in non-chrome
- Or use 70749a, since 70749 is probably the number of the
two-knives-on-sprue part.
- That tip is too flattened.
70750.dat Minifig Harpoon
- Ditto discussion on part number.
71427.dat Electric 9V Mini-Motor
- Keep this part number.
- Only nit is that axle can be turned. But that's a minor problem.
81155.dat Castle Wall 3 x 3 x 6 Corner with Blacktron I Logo
Pattern
- I don't have this part
81890.dat Tile 1 x 2 with Computer Keyboard Pattern
- Pattern is raised from surface of part
- Blank face was not removed from area of pattern.
- Selective suppression of detail is appropriate for an LDraw element.
