This is true.  Responsibility should be taken for parts.

Jonathan, my dear good man.  I promise you this (trust me):  If you obtain a
copy of the actual element, and play with it for a couple minutes to learn
its function, you will quickly see where your error lies.  This and nothing
but this can lead to enlightenment.

I agree here.  Due to the nature of Lego, posting parts you have only seen
in instruction scans is obsurd.  Grab some Lego and a dial caliper and have
at it again!  This time, by having the part in hand and having the patience
to study it, you will succeed!

i used the peg primitives so that is not my prroblem, i do not think. are you talking about the little ring around the end that helps hold it in place? (25 years ago, 10-Apr-99, to lugnet.cad.dev)
