  new primitive 4-4ring8.dat  [DAT]

Here is a new primitive I made up for a new piece I just finished. It's basicly the same as 1-4ring8 except it goes all the way. 0 1 16 0 0 0 1 0 0 0 1 0 0 0 1 1-4ring8.dat 1 16 0 0 0 0.00 0 1 0 1 0 -1 0 0.00 1-4ring8.dat 1 16 0 0 0 -1 0 0.00 0 1 0 (...)   Re: [Idea] New kind of tore for large diameter

(...) note: I've made toroidal bits before, using an approach similar to 2741c.dat, except I built 2741c.dat out of a 4-4cyli.dat and some 2-4cyls.dat. The reason we had the recent discussions about standardized torus p-files was so it would be easy (...) (24 years ago, 1-Mar-01, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts.primitives)

Re: [Idea] New kind of tore for large diameter

Yes, a new kind of Tore would be great, but I'm afaid you'll have to suffer me the way I am. ;o) Btw, I'm working on reducising my diameter. /Tore (...) -- Tore Eriksson Sweden ICQ: 76066510 LEGO: MOC++++ FS,SP,TO++ TC+ LS YB@m (24 years ago, 1-Mar-01, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts.primitives)

[Idea] New kind of tore for large diameter  [DAT]

I have defined a tore that does not use the tore primitive because the standard primitive where to rough for a tore of that diameter. The 48 version was to detailed for me. The file 2741c.dat could be a base for a new sort of tore primitive. It has (...) (24 years ago, 28-Feb-01, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts.primitives)

  Re: Torus primitive discussion.

(...) Oops! I meant "Absolutely not" as in "I have no more suggestions", not "Don't do it, no way." Sorry if it didn't come across the way I meant it. I think this pot has definitely boiled long enough. Steve (24 years ago, 27-Feb-01, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts.primitives)

  Re: Torus primitive discussion.

(...) OK, Got it! Sounds good to me. So we are going to use; tNNxFFFF.dat t=Torus NN=sweep of torus, 01=1/1, 02=1/2, 04=1/4, 08=1/8, 16=1/16, 48=1/48? x=i:Inner or o:Outer FFFF=Tube Radius Ex. 1/3=3333 I have already changed my spreadsheets and (...) (...) OK, let me try to explain. Lars had suggested: (...) Which uses 7 characters in the filename, out of the 8 allowed. I just dedicated the 8th character to N, so we had NN instead. Ok, Let me see if I can make some sense of this... I have read it sevaral times. (...) OK, great! (...) Sorry, can't seem to follow this statement. (...) OK. (...)
