Re: Using MPD syntax in official part files

(...) Well, since the stippling pattern is just an artifact of the printing process, I'd say it's foolish to reproduce it. Some of the dots on the newer stippled gradients are so tiny I can't even see them without a huge magnifier (or maybe I just (...) (15 years ago, 11-Feb-10, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

Re: Color scheme in Brick 1 x 6 x 5 with Rocket Launch Pattern?

(...) The surface of this brick is perfectly smooth, so the blue pattern I see is not caused by brick texture, but by the screen printing process. Nevertheless, looking at the two mock-ups, I think the white version is closer to what it "should" (...) (20 years ago, 12-Jul-04, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts, FTX)

Re: "Dither" colors in patterned/sticker parts

(...) I have authored patterned parts, and for me this is the only viable option. This has worked just fine for the past decade, and I don't see any good reason why it should be broken.   Re: "Dither" colors in patterned/sticker parts

(...) Two things. First of all, is Maersk Blue hard-coded into any part files? I would expect parts that show up in Maersk Blue to have color 16 encoded in the file, and the user to select Maersk Blue as the parts' color when building a model. Since (...) Tonight I hammered out the Droid Wheel Gear. I used lots of sub parts, and I think it is pretty efficient, especially considering how many fins and teeth this thing has! I will post the dats in a follow up in plain text. (2 URLs) (19 years ago, 1-Dec-05, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts, FTX)
