I think I disagree with the last statement. The rubber threads from
Arctic and Mindstorms are conseptually very different from the plastic
thread links. I think that the thread links are better left in the
"Technic Link" category together with the chain links, as they have
more in common than with the rubber threads.
A new Thread category may very well be created, but I wouldn't put the
chain links/thread links into the it. How about calling the
Mindstorms threads something like this: "Thread Rubber Large" or
"Thread Flexible Large" to signify that they are made out of one
flexible element rather than composed out of many small connectable
links? Just a thought...
BTW, I'm very happy to see all the nifty Technic parts Marc has in the
pipeline. I'm especially happy about the Technic panels.
