Hello,
At the first bullet of the LDraw Official Library Standard for Sticker Parts
http://www.ldraw.org/article/339 is written:
|
The sticker is a 0.25 LDU thin box (or whatever shape sticker is in),
oriented such that the top face is at -0.25 Y and parallel with the X-Z
plane. The pattern is on the top face; the other (five) sides of the box
correspond to background color of the sticker pattern (usually white).

Some new stickers submitted to the parts tracker have the colors at the edges
of the front continuing on the sides. Is the article outdated or are the new
stickers wrong?
|
Basically the color of the sides and back of the LDraw sticker should be the
same color as the paper (or plastic) the real life sticker is printed on. In
other words, if the back side of the real life sticker is white then the sides
and back of the LDraw sticker should be white. The same goes for clear or any
other color.
To answer you question, these new submission are probably incorrect since I can
think of any stickers that are printed on multi-color paper.
