    Part request: Cone 4 x 4 x 3 —Niels Karsdorp
As I was building set 358 Rocket Base in MLCad I noticed that the Cone 4 x 4 x 3 ((URL) does not exist, not even on the PT. I also want to build trainset 725 in MLCad, which also uses this cone. As I don't own this part myself I can not create it. (...) (20 years ago, 6-May-04, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

(...) I made a dat file of that cone once. If only I knew where I stored it... /Tore (20 years ago, 6-May-04, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

        Re: Part request: Cone 4 x 4 x 3 —Don Heyse
(...) I've got one of those from that set. Here's a hideous unofficial mock-up of the part. The inside has one big tube like the 4742 and a few ridges, but I didn't model them because I'm a lousy part maker. 0 Cone 4 x 4 x 3 0 Name: x483.dat 0 (...)         Question about creating Cone 4 x 4 x 3 for LDraw —Niels Karsdorp
(...) I happened to get me a seccond hand trainset 725, including two of these cones. So I have started on creating this part for LDraw. By looking at the orientation of the stud and the inner details it seems that this part was creating 45 degrees (...) (20 years ago, 30-May-04, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

Re: Question about creating Cone 4 x 4 x 3 for LDraw —Don Heyse
(...) I don't really want a part rotated 45 degrees from direction it's going to be placed. The Ldraw 'A' command works in 90 degree angles. That's why I chose the orientation I did for the mockup. Plus it matches the other cones. I'd say leave the (...) (20 years ago, 31-May-04, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

(...) Okay, thanx for the answer. The part is now on the Parts Tracker as x272.dat Niels (20 years ago, 3-Jun-04, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

Re: Question about creating Cone 4 x 4 x 3 for LDraw —Larry Pieniazek
(...) Are you saying that the LEGO on the stud is rotated 45 degrees from how you would expect it to be aligned? Or are you saying something else. if the former, I agree with Don, I'd have the default orientation the one that people are most likely (...) (20 years ago, 1-Jun-04, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)
