I have a picture of the differences between the 3 and 2 section ladders:

One could make a quick mock-up by shortening the current LDraw parts. But that
wouldn't snap directly onto studs like the short version does. To make the part
correctly requires changing the dimensions of the rails and rungs. A 1x2 stud
pattern fits inbetween the rungs on the shorter ladder.
Is it possible to part-author from a picture? I'd be glad to provide larger or
measured photos (like a ruler in the picture), if such photos would be of use to
part-authors.

| I have made a few of my own parts that were not available. Start with the file that is close to what you want. open it in ldraw and modify it. save it as a new part in your models directory. Looks like you can modify the existing ladder and get (...) (20 years ago, 29-Mar-04, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)
