here is the fixed and I hope unwrapped version of the minifig shield round.
please notice that due to a request from ldraw.org the part number has
changed from x192.dat to x194.dat
I substituted the inlined stud with the stud2.dat primitive. therefor the inner cylinder
no longer matches the original part but it is 0,3 mm shorter (I hope we can live with that :-).
this changing made it necessary to substituted the ring close to the stud with a disk.
instead of using a primitive 4-4disc I preferred creating it from scratch to
match exactly the neighbouring quads. as newbie author I have no idea if this
will slow down processing, rendering and the like so please let me know if I should
change this.
having a closer look you will also notice that some digits of the quads- and triangle-points
say "e-005" at the end. I don't know why. it happened when I imported the file form word
into mlcad. I double-checked the part in L3p and got no error.
has anybody a reasonable and satisfying explanation what has happened (curiosity kill the cats)?
