Cool. Thanks for the feedback Steve : )

Overall, looks about right. :)  But shouldn't there be an emitter or a
lens in the muzzle?

hmmm... OK I'll take a stab at that

You've got some line-wrapping problems in the posted file.  At least, I
assume it was posting the file that caused the trouble.  Outlook Express
may have mangled your file lightly.

yep. OE munged it : (  The original doesn't have that problem : )

I'm not sure why you hard-coded the colors.  Especially the dark-gray.

L3P check wouldn't let me assign edgecolor to the lines ...  Is there a way
around that ?

The rest of my comments are picayune issues that are only important if
you are going to submit this file to ldraw.org.

Good.  I plan to do that : )

First, the part should be lowered, so the top surface (not counting the
studtops) is at Y=0.  Then it should be rotated 90 degrees, so the
'muzzle' is facing the -Z axis.

OK will do.

0 Part 30346

Interesting name. ;)  How about "Electric Light and Sound Brick X x Y x
Z Laser Drill" instead?

OK will do.

0 Name: 30346.dat

Actually, this part is a composite of several other LEGO 'parts',[1] so
it should not be numbered 30346.  Assuming the 30346 imprint is visible
when the part is fully assembled, this file could be 30346c01.dat.

OK.

Since this part is actually constructed from several subparts, it should
be coded in several files.  At least, the buttons and the battery lid
should have their own files.  And the lens/emitter, if you add that
detail.

hmm.. The buttons move and the lid comes off, but the LED is definitly
inside the main housing, should it really be seperate ?

0 Keywords: Rock Raiders

Thanks for thinking to include this line.  The meta-keyword should be
KEYWORDS, in all caps and without a colon.

Ok, I'll fix that : )

(...) Sure, no problem. :) (...) Do you mean the color for the *edge.dat primitives? Those references should be color 16. The lines inside the primitive files are coded as color 24. (...) I'd say it's your decision. But if you want to enable people (...) (23 years ago, 14-Dec-01, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)
