| | New part 3648a - Technic Gear 24 Tooth with 3 Axleholes [DAT]

OK, after much work, refinement, and most especially help from Mark Kennedy, Chris Dee, Steve Bliss, and Orion Pobursky, I have finally finished my first part along with several supporting primitives (thus the cross-post to LCDPP). I would (...) (22 years ago, 3-Feb-03, to lugnet.cad.dev, lugnet.cad.dat.parts.primitives)

Actually, in hindsight, I think maybe it was my brain that was missing. I thought it was missing rect2p.dat, but I just looked at my zip and there is was. It probably wouldn't be a bad idea to run it as a daily job anyway, if it doesn't take too (...) (22 years ago, 3-Feb-03, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts.primitives, lugnet.cad.dev)

(...) What was it missing? We did have a problem running out of disk space recently, that could have caused the trouble. (...) I've rebuilt the zip file. I should probably set that up to run as a daily job. Steve (22 years ago, 1-Feb-03, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts.primitives, lugnet.cad.dev)

(...) Thanks for the reminder. I've moved the part now. I left "Classic" out of the new title, I don't think it's needed. (...) Yes, that's true. Have you made a fix for this? I'd like to get all your updates on the Tracker. Steve (22 years ago, 1-Feb-03, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

(...) The Rectangle with 2 Parallel Edges (rect2p.dat) was already on the Parts Tracker. I've just added rect2a.dat (Rectangle with 2 Adjacent Edges) and rect1.dat (Rectangle with 1 Edge). I can't fix the zip file right now, but will try to get to (...) (22 years ago, 31-Jan-03, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts.primitives, lugnet.cad.dev)

Ok, thinking about making a custom Primative, for a project I am working on. Can someone go over the basics of how they are built? I think I have a good idea, but want to make sure my assumtions are correct. Thanks, Dwayne CastleBlocksCAD Yahoo! (...) (22 years ago, 31-Jan-03, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts.primitives)

Assuming these don't already exist (I looked for rect2.dat on Parts Tracker, but could find nothing -- speaking of which, the "complete" unofficial parts zip seems to be out of date, since it is missing some stuff): Would it be reasonable to create (...) (URL) suggest it should be renamed to 7026cc01.dat to conform to Steve's own suggestions in an earlier thread. Description should be: "Window Classic 1 x 2 x 2 Short Ledge" Error: Short ledge should not be pointy. Comment: I doubt that thick walls (...) (22 years ago, 30-Jan-03, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

| | Method for splitting quads with not coplanar vertices? (Cross-post for /dat and /dev)

hi folks, I had a little chat with carsten about the possibility to fix not coplanar vertices automatically in LDDP. we all know that running a line like this: 0 4 16 10 -1 10 10 0 -10 -10 0 -10 -10 0 10 through L3P with dist 0.1 or det 0.001 will (...)
