I checked through early Town stuff on the set guide and came up with these two possibilities: <set:558>, <set:670>. These look like European and American versions of the same set. I found this piece in my vintage Lego box. It's an ancient 1x4 with printed headlights/grill. But it also has striping stickers on the sides. Note also that I didn't base it off of the existing headlight piece- I didn't like the way that decoration (...) (24 years ago, 1-Feb-01, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

While recently working with regular and inverted half-arches, <part:2339> and <part:30099>, I was dismayed to find the part models have different curvatures, whereas the real ones are identical.
