Chris Daelman <cdaelma@pi.be> wrote in: Ftq9C5.22M@lugnet.com... (...) Hi Chris, I still remember this set from the good ol' days. I liked it very much then and I still think it's a very neat set.   653 set red cross ambulance and helicopter  [DAT]

  Re: 6970

Great model. Looks good for the OMR when the planet logo parts are made official. I assume you are going to put it up for the ldraw.org official model repository. There is 1 problem with the dat file that I can see: it is missing the flag that is (...) (24 years ago, 27-Mar-00, to lugnet.cad.dat.models.sets)

  6970  [DAT]

This is as best a reproduction of the 6970 Beta-1 Command Base as I can manage.   Re: Set-posting protocol

(...) The best way IMHO to do this is to use a normal baseplate instead of the crater baseplate, leave the figs helmentless & use the non patterned versions for the patterned parts. -- Jonathan Wilson wilsonj@xoommail.com (URL) (24 years ago, 23-Mar-00, to lugnet.cad.dat.models.sets)

  Set-posting protocol

I've just finished reconstructing the first lego set I ever owned (set 6970) in .dat format... however, there are four parts in that set that don't seem to have dat files yet... those being: The crater baseplate (x2) The classic minifig space-helmet (...) (...) <snip> Certainly, Those were the Days, when Lego was Lego... Thank you Chris for this flashback! When parts no longer stick together, I tear a little piece of paper and put it between them.
