  Re: HELP with DAT files!!

(...) This sounds like you're running LDLite but it's not finding the part files. Several things you might want to check: - Make sure that the path which LDraw is installed into doesn't contain any spaces. - Make sure that your LDRAW environment (...)   HELP with DAT files!!

Can someone please help me figure out what I am doing wrong? I can't seem to get my DAT files to open. I have downloaded LDRAW and files and installed them. But I have had no luck opening the files. I am using Win95. I just get a blank white screen. (...) (25 years ago, 28-Oct-99, to lugnet.cad.dat.models)

  Re: Microfig-scale BattleMech

Sproat, Nice mech! I like these that you've been doing lately. Heh, create a POV scene with a couple of lances advancing on the goodg- er, the enemy. 8) Um, not to be *to* picky, but the MadCat is a chicken-walker. The knees should go the other way. (...)   Microfig-scale BattleMech  [DAT]

Hey folks, Well, I caved in and built the ubiquitous BattleMech -- I think it's patterned after a Madcat, but I'm not sure... If anyone wants to come up with the BattleTech rules (1) for this scale (2), I'll build some more models. Maybe some Lego (...) (25 years ago, 27-Oct-99, to lugnet.cad.dat.models)

(...) VERY cool, stuff, Sproat! Man, I like those colors on the melee mech. I haven't visited the .dat newsgroups for a bit but as soon as I saw your name on a posting I knew I had to check it out.   Microfig-scale heavy worker mech  [DAT]

Hey folks, Here's a microfig-scale heavy worker mech. Scale is roughly 1:115 -- a 2x2 brick would be 6 foot square (or 36 square feet) on the top; a person can be represented by a 1x1 round brick topped by a 1x1 round plate. I came up with this (...)
