Actually, one anomoly I noticed is that the processing messages aren't
written to stdout.  I couldn't pipe them to a file.  I don't know if
this is strictly a DOS-thing, or an Ada-thing, or something else.

Much better.

Yup.

You want to put the DOS buildmpd.exe on your webpage with the other
files, Jacob?

Would be fine. Can you zip it and send it to me?

Do you want the lightly modified source code (I changed
package names to fit with GNAT's package==file requirement).

Was there any other problem than the long file names? I can
do the renaming on Linux too (and it's only neccessary for
DOS), so you don't have to send those to me.

Play well,

Jacob

(...) This is kind of a Unix thing. You write error and processing messages to stderr so they don't interfer with the data flow (Unix uses pipes a lot). I can't remember how you redirect stderr to stdout in DOS (but it should be in the manuals). (...) (26 years ago, 16-Feb-99, to lugnet.cad)
